The people of the Republic have to vote for it, too. It would of course
be a tragedy if they said no when the north said yes. It would also be one
of the funniest historical jokes ever played. I wouldn't put anything past
southerners. The Republican movement have always known who the real
partitionists were, and their reasons, but they'll never admit to it.


Perhaps opinions like mine are coloured by looking north, and asking
myself do I want such racists [on both sides] having a say in the
goverment in the ROI,,[SF are already here] i will accept the election
results
