Did you read " Mountain of a Woman: Memoirs of an Irish Woman
Troubadour" by Liam Clancy? It gave an interesting perspective on the
evolution of folk music in America in the 50's. His patroness was a
emotionallly disturbed heiress name Diane Guggenheim who introduced
him to Dylan, Seeger. Maya D'Angelou etc. You may find him bland but
his memoir was kind of juicy.
