Err I think you mean the reverse no? Irish Whiskey is mainly Blended.

Tis ok but overdone. I am in my post Islay phase these days and am content
with a bottle of Dalwhinnie, or a nice Sherry casked job.

Aye Shirley Basset is good stuff.
There are only three distilleries on the island Irish Distillers (Diageo)
own both Bushmills and Midleton, Cooley is independent. Bushmills is a malt
house so any grain whiskies for blending come from Midleton.

Haven't had the Midleton Special Malt yet. The other tack in the box is just
a fancy Jamesons. Not for me.
