Any hope in the near future for the American Military giving back Iraq to its people?

The invasion of Iraq was horribly immoral and horribly wrong. When
will it be that the skys won't have those green helicopters buzzing
through it? True, we prevented it from spreading to Iran thank
goodness, but it's not good enough. Americans should leave
immediately regardless of conditions, apologize for invading in the
first place and work only diplomatically with the population.

I'm only hoping that the new president (Hillary or Obama) will follow
up on their promises to end the occupation; this is what they are
going to be elected for, along with signing the health care bill,
giving DC a representative in Congress and better treatment for the
troops (all of which the Republicans have been blocking).
