Anyhow, Prince Saud al Faisal was on Charlie Rose PBS show tonight.
Unless I misunderstood, he said that Saddam was a symptom of sectarian
violence and not the cause of sectarian violence in Iraq. Assuming he
is correct, wouldn't it be reasonable to expect a dramatic increase in
sectarian violence if the US disappeared?

The Iraqis have the right to address their own issues and not be
interfered with.
Whether it becomes a bloodbath or a truce, whether there's peace of
fighting,
America should not be wasting time, money, words or thought on another
culture, country and religion in another part of the world. The
"facts", as in
many other scenarios in life, are irrelevant to the principles. The
military only
thinks in terms of numbers, but the world doesn't go by numbers, it
goes by
moral principles, standards and mutual respect. The ladder dictates
that
countries only go into others through proper routes and with respect
to the
peoples and cultures, not with weapons.

On a side note since you repeat this question without addressing any
issues, do you hate your local police ?

I love MY local police, but wouldn't want another country's police
doing anything
in my own land. The Shiites have their police, the Sunnis have their
police,
and the Kurds have theirs. Americans police America.

If you think of an answer that addresses the issue I raised, post
back...- Hide quoted text -

We're not responsible for any affairs of another people. We're not
the parents or
the police there.

No, that doesn't do it either. You are welcome to try again though...
