Partisan Tactics of the 'slims

According to news reports, almost every Coalition assault results in
several dozen new volunteers for car bomb placement. These volunteers
are put on a timetable that has now basically been filled for the next
few years. In other words, tomorrow's exploding chevy was probably put
on the calendar some time in 2005.

This use of volunteers to erode an occupying force through continual
suicide is, on the whole, a fairly recent development. In the current
situation, if volunteers could be discouraged from these missions
starting now, the government there may expect relief some time in 2008
or 9.

But there will be no letting-up in that program. The only possible
deterrent,"swine burial" as a universal consequence for the bombers'
remains, will probably not be acknowledged for fear of offending the
general public. If the government there simply leaked the secret that
this is actually happening -- that each and every extremist's remains
has been interred with the corpses of pigs -- then the line for
upcoming events may shorten.

It would take years to have any result, but surely some wisdom would
be imparted by such a clandestine program...
