Hezbollah leader rues damage inflicted on Lebanon

BEIRUT (CNN) -- The Lebanese militia Hezbollah would not have kidnapped
two
Israeli soldiers if it had known how severely Israel would respond to
the
abduction, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah said Sunday.


But in an interview with Lebanon's New TV, Nasrallah also said the war
would
have happened a few months later. He insisted, without offering
evidence, that
Israel had been planning to launch military action in October, and the
July
raid by Hezbollah merely moved up the Israelis' timetable.


He is a war monger plain and simple.


Hezbollah killed three Israeli soldiers and abducted two others in a
July 12
raid into northern Israel, sparking an Israeli response that killed more
than
1,000 Lebanese and devastated Lebanon's infrastructure. The death toll
among
Israelis was 159, including 41 civilians.

If someone had said July 11 that there was "a one percent possibility"
Israel's military response would be as extensive as it turned out to be,
"I
would say no, I would not have entered this for many reasons --
military,
social, political, economic," Nasrallah said. (Posted 5:10 p.m.)


He is lying. He could have stopped further escalation to war by simply
returning the two abducted soldiers but he was more concerned with
Hezbollah's image. He started a war that he could not stop accept by
using Lebanese women and children as human shields.

It's irresistibly good propaganda to intentionally cause your enemy to
target innocent civilians, then rebuild their house afterwards. Some
Lebanese know this, but if your house is in ruins you'll gladly take
Iran's money to rebuild and give a seig heil salute to the hezbollah flag.

Btw, Nasrallah knows his days are numbered, the rat wont come out of
hiding. First clear shot the Israelis get....


Why Israelis? He made enough enemies in Lebanon.
