Spare the humanitarian aid and angst for people who actually need it.

As Europe wrestles with ways to "aid" the Palestinians without appearing to
support their terrorist leadership, it occurs to us just how artificial this
angst really is. The Palestinians are not in need of material comforts, and
neither are the vast majority of their problems anything other than
self-induced.
By contrast, consider the millions of people living in the Congo, Africa's 2nd
largest country. They suffer rape, malnutrition, and poverty so extreme that
it would peel paint off the walls of those European Parliaments, where
anti-Semites obsess over vilifying the security fence in Israel that has
already saved hundreds of Jewish lives.
Unlike the Palestinians, the Congolese don't have control over their fate.
They didn't elect a bona fide terrorist group to power, knowing full well what
the consequences would be. They don't lob volley after volley of Qassam
rockets at a country that powers 80% of their own economy. And unlike the
Palestinians, these people actually do starve to death.
Spare the humanitarian aid and angst for people who actually need it.
