Not at all - this particular lefty would be very happy to see an independent
Kurdistan, preferably one which also offered protection to the Turkish
Kurds.

Turkey of course would resist this bitterly, and probably by military means,
so the casting vote would go to the US. Do they support their valued &
strategic ally in the WOT, or do they support the right of all peoples to
establish their own form of governance?
