The link you provided was just a cartoon that had exactly the same
words as you typed into your comments. I saw no need for the
duplication, so I indeed "snipped" it. BTW, it wasn't "nice". It was a
childish attempted to show disdain for a group of people you no almost
nothing about. It was quite bigoted in it's meaning and intent. I can
only hope that this is not what you base your opinions on.

"Independent source" could mean a lot of things to a lot of people.

If the morale is said to be high from a person who is a member of the
armed forces in Iraq, who is stating his opinion without any pressure
or coercion, I'm guessing that you wouldn't accept that as proof
because it disagrees with your ideas and preconceived notions.

This is why the arguments of the left sound so desperate. Nothing is
accepted as proof of anything unless it's said by a leftist.

Here is the news from the front. Right now, from a person who has been
there. I spoke with a number of other soldiers last night who echoed
the same, exact sentiments and opinions.

Foreign Minister Alexander Downer says morale among Australian troops
in Iraq remains high as they face the possibility of having their
deployment extended.

Mr Downer said the troops he visited were extremely positive about
their work.

"They absolutely know the situation here," he told ABC radio from
Baghdad.

"Their morale is very high, they feel very positive about the job that
they're doing and I think they feel they're achieving real results.

SPRINGFIELD - Morale is high among the U.S. Marines serving in Iraq,
and terrorist attacks and casualties make them even more determined to
rout out and eliminate the insurgents, according to a Marine Reservist
who spent seven months in the desert battleground.

Sgt. Michael H. Luszcz, a 1992 graduate of Ludlow High School, is
thankful to be home for the holidays with his wife, Tawnya; son,
Michael, 2; and step-daughter Marlaina, 12.

He returned home in late August after serving seven months as a squad
leader with Kilo Co., 3rd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, Regimental
Combat Team 2-1, of the 2nd Marine Division in Haditha, Iraq.

"We believe in our mission, and the people of Iraq want us there," he
said.

Luszcz escaped injury on March 5, just five days after he arrived in
Iraq, when an improvised explosive device was exploded as he rode in
an armored Humvee. One of his colleagues received arm injuries. "I was
lucky," he said.

Luszcz, who is back at work as a corrections officer at the Hampden
County House of Correction at Stony Brook in Ludlow, was activated in
January as a combat replacement and trained for a month in urban
warfare at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

"I am trained and served as an MP (military policeman) but was called
to active duty as an infantry squad leader, because of my rank as
sergeant," he said.

The reserve sergeant enlisted in the Marines in October 1992 and
served four years on active duty, including a tour on Okinawa, Japan.
His reserve unit is stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry
Point, N.C.

In Iraq, Luszcz led a joint squad of Marines and Iraqi Security Forces
on patrols in the western part of the country along the Syria and
Jordan borders and the Euphrates River in Al Anbar Province in search
of insurgents, often coming under rocket, mortar and small arms fire.
