It was possibly in the mistaken belief that NATO will come to his aid,
although I doubt if Georgian Vodka is that toxic.

The more probable cause is that today the Nazis are indeed in
Washington and they are using their plant in Tbilisi to try out the
Russians and see if they can start taking on the Russians in their
Near Abroad and take control of the Caspian Oil which together with
the Middle Eastern Oil they see as an expanded form of economic
Lebensraum, much as the less ambitious German Nazis perceived the
lands to their East.

It seems to me that Russia with its bulk would hardly need to annex
the small sliver of land that is South Ossetia.

The Russians are reacting to intrigue by a NeoCon agent provocateur
who seems not to care about his people’s interests by provoking a
conflict with a fearsome foe and also not know how to attract the
dissident minorities to a unified entity by showering them with
rockets.

I suspect the Georgian president is being used as a pawn in the bigger
game of the US grab for the oil and gas of the Caspian knowing that he
can always find a comfortable berth at some Washington think thank and
give “knowing” interviews about the dark Russian threat to attentive
journalists!


I was impressed by that "brave" warrior *** Cheney’s assertion that
the Russian action will not go unanswered. I am just wondering what
the Russian for “make my day buster” is and whether Mr. Pution or Mr.
Medvedev will utter it.

One can point out the hypocrisy of the West when comparing S Ossetia
with Kosovo but that is not the only valid comparison.
Western governments say that the Sudanese have lost the moral
authority to rule Darfur because of the atrocities there but they are
supporting the criminal Saakashvili that has wiped out 1.5 percent of
the population of S. Ossetia in one fell swoop.

We are also assured that Hamas is a terrorist group because they
attack Israel with their primitive missiles that hardly ever make
anybody’s nose bleed but when Saakashvili uses his Israeli missiles to
murder 1,400 of his own citizens, we are brainwashed into accepting it
as plucky little Georgia standing up for itself!

Finally, Bush implied post 9/11 that we are either with him or we are
terrorists. The American support for the Saakashvili’s mudering of
1,400 people by the use of rockets is support for terrorism. After
all, this action killed 1/2 of the number who died in 9/11 but a
hugely higher proportion of population if you comapre the 300 million
population of the US with the 100,000 or so South Osseians.

I think the Americans are caught with their pants down and it is not
as funny as it was in Bill Clinton’s days.

The Saakaschwilli is a good example for a crazy , ultra nationalist
who overestimate  own power too much.

He thought, he can go with 20,000 sodliers against  2-3 mill russian
and he can win because only the US/Nato supported him.

He is similar to Saddam hussein, always overetimating himself and
underestimating the enemy.

one more important point, the oeetian are iranian origin, they are
neither russain ( Salwe)  nor turks. They are successor of iranian
