John McCain and Barack Obama did not vote.
It is odd that boom boom Iran did not vote, and it seems Obama needed
to need to not vote against Hillary.
Yet, we can all to well see that the war against Iran mood is very
much similar to the attack Iraq mood when it was actually believed
there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq back in 2002. It is OK
to be against the Republican fiasco in Iraq, but it is not OK to be
nice to Iran yet.
Yet to attack Iran seems to be very much a tactical and strategic
blunder predicted to make the Iraq venture appear to be a success..
Yet like, Mr Byrd, I see it as folly to continue such a hostile stance
towards Iran.
There comes to be a time when it is no longer worth wasting words but
to let the perpetators pay the price for their folly.
It willl certainly be said that we told you so.
We understand that the vote is not an authorization to attack Iran,
but it is an indication of the willingness of the US to go to war
against Iran for invalid reason.
Even if the democrats win in 2008, we will see the Iraqi quagmire
persist while the so-called "promised" withdrawal is slowly
negotiated., and even stalled for good as Iran finallly puts on line
its first nuclear power plant.. thereby placing the US and Israel in a
paranoid frenzy with too much talk about Armagedon.
We certainly can expect no miracles, which means no early solution to
the induced misery.
