Westerners, (and women especially), should take just a moment out of
thier lives and learn about this seldom discussed but common Islamic
practice. Wikipedia has a good artcile, and the Ayatollah Khomeini wrote
a book on the subject that has been translated to Engish and is
available on Amazon.com. In brief, here is what Mufa?Khathat is, quoting
from Wikipedia.com:

"A man can marry a girl younger than nine years of age, even if the girl
is still a baby being breastfed. A man, however is prohibited from
having intercourse with a girl younger than nine, while other sexual
acts such as foreplay, rubbing, and kissing are allowed. A man having
intercourse with a girl younger than nine years of age has not committed
a crime, but only an infraction, if the girl is not permanently damaged.
If the girl, however, is permanently damaged, the man must provide for
her all her life. But this girl will not count as one of the man's four
permanent wives. He also is not permitted to marry the girl's
sister."


Khomeini specifically described an act known as thighing that allowed an
adult male to simulate sex with a female child without penetration:


"Thighing is a means for an adult male to enjoy a young girl who is
still in the age of weaning; meaning to place his penis between her
thighs, and to kiss her."


"It is better for a girl to marry in such a time when she would begin
menstruation at her husband's house rather than her father's house. Any
father marrying his daughter so young will have a permanent place in
heaven."

18,000 Germans converted to Islam

Some 18,000 German nationals have become Muslims since 1945, the daily
Cologne-based Koelnische Rundschau newspaper quoted the Islam-Archive
Central Institute, based in the western town of Soest.

Around 4,000 Germans converted to Islam last year, the German Islamic
think-tank said.

Some 80 percent of those who converted were Christians.

The major share of converts, around 60 percent, are women.

The head of the Islam-Archive Central Institute, Salim Abdullah was
quoted as saying earlier that most of those who converted to Islam,
have been well-educated.

According to a Berlin-based Muslim leader Mohammad Herzog, there are
various motives for the sharp rise in the number of converts, saying
many have been former devout Christians who had cast doubts about
their faith.

Meanwhile a sociologist, Monika Wohlrab-Sahr, pointed out many
potential converts view Islam "a very genuine alternative".

Interestingly enough, whenever the German media steps up its attack on
Islam, more people convert to Islam than in normal years, Abdullah
said.

There are 3.5 million Muslims, most of them Turks, living in Germany.
