Aqsa Khatib: Israeli excavations beneath Aqsa Mosque in full swing

Occupied Jerusalem - Sheikh Ismail Nawahda, Khatib (preacher) of the holy
Aqsa Mosque, maintained that the Israeli excavations underneath the Aqsa
aimed at destroying it and constructing the alleged third temple in its
place were currently on track.

Addressing the Friday congregation at the Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem,
Sheikh Nawahda sharply lashed out at the Arab and Muslim countries for their
crass silence towards the Israeli conspiracies meant to Judaize Jerusalem
and to efface its Arab and Islamic identity.

He touched upon the Israeli desecrations of the holy Islamic shrines, the
latest such defilement was when the Israeli authorities bulldozed away the
Jerusalem-based "Maaman Allah" Islamic cemetery in which some of the Prophet
Mohammed's (peace be upon him) associates and followers had been buried.

"What tolerance is this that is being built on Muslims' corpses?" he
wondered, referring to the so-called "tolerance museum" the Israeli
authorities were planning to construct on the graveyard.

Sheikh Nawahda cautioned of the Israeli plans targeting the isolation of the
Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and tightening the siege laid to them
there in a bid to drive them away from their indigenous lends, and to create
a Palestinian self-rule in cantons and in Israeli protectorates similar to
those that formerly existed in South Africa.

The religious scholar finally called upon all Muslims to adhere to their
religion so that they could regain their extorted rights and restore their
sublime glory.
