Relying on foreign contracts to support one's energy infrastructure
leaves a gaping hole in one's defens, or the need to maintain an
immense military force to secure one's energy pipeline..
In fact the way I read the NPT, memeber nations are obligated to
support one another for peaceful applications of nuclear power.
US seems to be violating this clause of the NPT by infringing on
another sovereign nation's rights as stated in the Nuclear
Nonproliferation treaty.
