There is a real chance that the China-India relationship will become
like the USA - Mexico relationship.

From making pure crap - the Chinese have now advanced so far - it is
said that they might eclipse the US and Western Europe in Solar
photovoltaic and become the world's supplier of this potentially multi-
trillion dollar industry.

Delhi has to make a fundamental decision if it can afford the enmity
of China and Pakistan at the same time.  Pakistan is not going to go
away, they have achieved nuclear parity and to this day they are kin
to Northindians in every respect except religion.   The US will only
cause destruction in South Asia to friend and foe alike - a total
reconciliation with Pakistan is the only way to face up to China.  At
any rate, upper class Pakis with their "Koi Hai" culture (or its
internet era transmogrified American version) ,  love of Urdu Shayaree
etc. and relaxed islam are indistinguishable from the Northindian
gentry and it is sheer absurdity for these kindred folk to point
nuclear weapons at each other.

Islam is not today an issue in South Asia.  We have 100 million plus
Muslims living as a respected and tolerated religious minority in
India and Iif Indians stupidly, stupidly stupidly jump on the racist
Western hatred of Islam,  it will send South Asia up in flames.

It is equally stupid on Pakistan's part to invoke radical islam to
settle its property dispute (Kashmir) with Northindians.

Anyway their economy is going downhill as they are heavily dependant
on handouts and debt writeoffs so they will be increasingly irrelavant

This is dangerous brinkmanship - we had an earlier nuclear
confrontation in which the weaker party (Soviet Union) disintegrated
relatively peacefully.  It is too risky to expect/work for Pakistan's
disintegration - this time around the world may not be so lucky and
the weaker party might end up using its nuclear weapons.

If you must hate, then hate China - they have nothing but ill will

Pakis may or may not like India's alleged freedoms (Bollywood girls
are free to take their clothes off and undulate and gyrate to music
that has fallen off from the glory days - but India does have
draconian laws on its books that allow arrest and detention without a
speedy trial) - but it is internationally recognzed that Kashmir is a
disputed territory and that is the core of Pakis' dispute with India.

They may or may not become a friendly nation if Kashmir is resolved -
but the Delhi durbar will surely disintegarte if they try to confront
