I'm not a artsy type so, beyond the aesthetically pleasing colors, I
would guess age of the paintings, condition and rarity would all play
a part in value. And as the person I spoke with said, value is
whatever the market will bare. Which to me means that in today's
economic circumstances, anything goes. I know that some auction prices
for some art have gone down, while others have broken records, so who
knows?
