I'm looking for information on a watercolor artist: M. D. Sharma from Bombay India?

I'm trying to find out more about the artist M. D. Sharma, so that I
can figure out a value
for the paintings I have. I only bought the paintings about a year ago
and they had been "stored" rolled up in the corner of an old shed,
thick with dust.

On the back of most of the paintings is a rubber stamp stating the
name and address of the artist in BomBay-2 . I don't know what the -2
is all about, but I tried to find it on Google and Mapquest, even
changing the city to Mumbai. Never did find it, but some streets
sounded close enough. Maybe they changed since the paintings?

I would like to find out if the artist is still alive, their age and
when they painted these pictures? I also hoped to find out the value
of the paintings for insurance, but so far I haven't found anyone who
knows.
