SaReGaMaPa-Marathi Little Champions (ahonkan on YouTube has many many
clips). The kids were simply awesome. It is a pity they could choose
only one winner amongst the 5 finalists.
Here are some of the originals/longer versions that I liked.
The first is a live performance (no video) by Asha tai. From the movie
Mahananda, I think. I couldn't find the original song.

How do I play it? Download first? Thought it is an FM radio station
through internet.
I just played it in my browser without a problem. Try this link

Same site as the Paudwal clip. But the song is not a live performance - Hridaynath Mangeshkar music (good classical base to it).
The second is by Anuradha Paudwal

This is from http://www.dhingana.com/ something the "Senapati" of
Bholu Mian.
They don't get this in Byculla. :-)
The third is a live performance (by Shivagarjana of Pune) of a song from
the movie "Ulaadhaal" The song/choreography is awesome

Lived in Pune for 10 years but never asked what is "moryaa" (or
"moriiyaa"). What is it?
From "Ganapati bappa moraya," which roughly translates to "Our father Ganapati" Some claim "Moraya" to be the name of a saint and devout Ganapati bhakt. Will let an "asli" Maharashtrian chime in - after all lifelong non-Marathi speaking residents of Mumbai are "immigrants" :-)
The dancers dont wear anything like marathi brahmins, do they?
Ekdum modern :-) The music by Ajay-Atul is what I liked. The dhol-taash band (Shivagarjana) is from Pune. Anyway, the dance is not in the movie.
The fourth that I liked was a lokgeet

The best.
In the SaReGaMaPa program, Kartiki Gaikwad was simply superb in her brief performance of this song. She had good musicians backing her too. I recall that she got some mileage out of this - at least two encore performances.
.(Avoid the dancing baby version of this song. It is simply irritating)
Vaishali Samant who appeared many years ago on Nakshatrache Dene was one
of the judges of the Zee TV program. She has completely changed her
rather "gharelu" image (and gained a ton) from many years ago, and has
become really awesome at putting a new spin on lavni/koligeete. Check
out the following

The dancer in the video is Ishita Arun (daughter of Ila Arun of "choli
ke peechay..." fame)

Pretty cool - very catchy tune. Don't know who the dancer is in the video.
And an old one from a younger (and slimmer) Vaishali Samant
