THE PRESS IN INDIA ARE INSIDIOUS

The behavior of many of the news channels are quite insidious in
nature. Note how they never question the congress party on matters
that would embarrass the congress party. They never really ask the
hard questions to the congress party. Never the penetrating questions
which would show the congress party in a bad light. Even the so called
hard questions which are asked are not really hard questions but meant
to give the congress party a chance to explain themselves.

Also, they never really blame any congress party leader personally.
Its always the government needs to do more. But when it comes to the
BJP, leaders are personally blamed. Also, even when the press blames
the entire BJP party they never really blame the congress party in the
same manner.

Crimes committed against people in congress ruled (or allied rule)
states is never considered as serious as those committed in BJP ruled
states. The matter has become so hypocritical that even Nandigram
(which the press seems to be harping on) is not criticised as openely
as lets say the 2002 riots in Gujarat. Even though Nandigram is far
worse as it has been going on for months.

And how come the press has not pointed out the issue that MOST OF
THOSE KILLED IN NANDIGRAM ARE MUSLIMS. Also the woman who was
gangraped was a muslim. Now how come these issues are not coming out.
Because if they do come out the congress and its allies will be shown
to be the liars that they are. That they are pseudo secularists who
are actually far worse when it comes to communalising this country.

What is worse is that ordinary crimes are made out to be a big issue.
A couple of women were raped in some part of Gujarat. While this is a
heinous crime and the perpetrators need to be caught and punished
severely how come the state government is continously criticised. For
there are hundreds if not thousands of women raped all over India and
many of them in congress ruled states yet no one mentions this at all.
Yet if one woman is raped in Gujarat it somehow becomes an issue which
the government is responsible for.

It is in this insidious maner that the entire press which includes the
news channels manages to show the BJP in a far worse light than the
congress. When in actuality the congress party has a far worse record.
This allows the congress to keep on berating the BJP inspite of the
congress party's record being far worse.

Be intellligent and judge for yourselves. Note how no incident in a
congress ruled or allied state will ever be made to show the leaders
in a bad light. Only those incidents will be mentioned. At the most
some tattoo of the congress party will be questioned as he or she is
expendable. Never any of the top leaders will be made to look bad.

First of all even the incidents will not be shown in as bad a light as
they are shown for the BJP ruled states. And than if the incidents are
so bad that they must be mentioned the blame will never lie on any of
the leaders. It will only be mentioned that the government is to be
blamed. Even in West Bengal, the media has not ostrasized Buddadeb
Bhattacharya like they did Narendra Modi. Even in the tv channels they
still talk good about Mr. Bhattacharya EVEN THOUGH THE NANDIGRAM
INCIDENT IS FAR WORSE. It has been going on for months on end and CRPF
troops were actually not allowed to even enter. In Gujarat the riots
went on for only 1 or 2 days. Then law and order was immediately
restored. In the congress sponsored riots of 1985 in Gujarat the riots
went on for months in Gujarat.

So, my friends judge for yourselves. Note how the press is behaving.
To me this is simply shameful as the press keeps harping about how
they are one of the pillars of democracy. Well, they are certainly not
acting like it. The press must be unbiased. Otherwise they are just as
guilty as the politicians of our country. In fact they are more guilty
as the people have more faith in the press and therefore the press
must hold themselves to a much higher ideal. Thank the lord that at
least the internet exists. Views on the net can be freely expressed
and heard.
