Pakistan is only united in one respect - hatred for India otherwise
Pakis are divided as many times as there are number of families in
Pakistan. Army's job is to keep this hatred alive and be strong. They
are so far extremely successful although 9/11 was a little setback and
Mushy has pulled it off. If there is a civilian revolution in Pakiland,
army will crush it just like they tried in East Pakistan but army never
thought about India factor then.

Pakiland can only be divided if they mess with India (e.g., Kargil
intrusion or attack on Parliament type events). This is not in western
interest because West wants Pakiland as much as Pak Army wants it. This
is for this reason West wants Indo-Paki dialog to succeed so that they
can use Pakis to clean their toilets and not worry about conflicy with
India.
