IN ITS AFTERMATH

In its suddenness it was unreal
In its suddenness it was very cruel
In its suddenness it brought untold sorrow
In its suddenness it stopped "tomorrow"

In its suddenness everyone was shocked
In its suddenness one family's foundation was rocked
In its suddenness it struck like a snake's poison
In its suddenness, God, if there is one, made one of his most cruel
decisions

In its aftermath so many came together
In its aftermath will they understand each other?
In its aftermath will they stay together?
In its aftermath will they help each other?
