How to own the 21st Century.

Now, I'm just a visitor (and investor) here, so take the following with a grain of salt.

India can own the 21st Century and stand at 2100 as the world's top superpower. All it takes is a little shift of focus. Invest in people and infrastructure and get the state out of everything else.

Stop subsidizing imported petroleum products, regulate as little as possible and sell off everything where the market is ready and able to provide the service.

Yes have a quota for schools. A very simple quota. One seat in a decent classroom for every child in India until they're 18. If their parents want to pay somebody else to educate their children then hold these private schools to international standards and let them be. Hunt down every child who's living on the streets and drag them into a classroom.

Invest in health care and sanitation. Clean drinking water for everybody. Phase in international standards for vehicle emissions and tax polluters off the streets.

There is one alternative to all of this. It's called the status quo and your great grandchildren will speak Chinese.

So choose now and show me that I haven't been wasting the last six years here.
