Maoist attacks MP and EX CM Convoys
A Maoist attempt to attack the convoy of cars N Janardhan Reddy and
his wife the provincial state minister in early hours today by land
mine blast left the couple unhurt but the other car came under attack
and three congress workers are killed.
In early hours of Friday at 7.30 AM, Maoist mining blast by precision
device en route of former Chief Minister N Janaradhan Reddy and his
wife N Rajyalakshmi Andhra's state Women and Child Development
Minister had miracles escape but caused damaged to the bullet proof
car.
Three congress workers traveling in convoy, in other car were killed
at village near Chitwedu in Nellore district in state of Andhra
Pardesh on way to Tirupati Temple.
Reddy and Rajyalakshmi were traveling by car to Tirupati Temple at the
time of the attack.
Intelligence warning has already been in circulation for the radicals
attack.
Former Chief Minister banned imposed on Naxalites for the first time
in May 1992 since then he is under threat on Maoist hit list.
Police says N Janaradhan Reddy and Rajyalakshmi are safe and unhurt.
