ugly... all in there.
Even, my own book that I have talked about for a long time, that
supposed to be out many years ago but due to many personal & sensitive
issues that refer to many Hmong who are still living,,,and many of
those people are close kwvtij or neejtsa!! So... the book stay in the
closet for now!!! And instead of publish the entire book, I just
release bits & pieces that has no reference to our kwvtij neejtsa.
Up to now, the closest we have are just two books:
1. Tragic Mountains: The Hmong, the Americans, and the Secret Wars for
Laos, 1942-1992 by Jane Hamilton-Merritt.

This book is seen by many people as featuring GVP as the hero of the
Hmong & in the war in Laos... esp for those who are anti-GVP.
2. A People's History of the Hmong by Paul Hillmer (Dec 15, 2009)

This book may the only book that covers the many untold stories of the
Hmong in Laos as they perceive thru their own eyes as it happens over
the recent years. An excellent book as it content many issues, untold
stories, as I said above, that have not been written about before.

i think it was more of secrets and accuracy related that no one dare to write anything about gvp. last i heard people who dare to go and ask to write a book or article about gvp will be denied right at the spot by claiming there were people for that task already so YOU the requestor do not have to do it.
personally i think that was false for claiming there were other already took on that task. no result nothing show up so i could only say that request was denied to hide secrets and prevent people to be so accurate. just keep people at the dizzy and unknown states.
much more power that way.
