1. General Khamtay Siphandone former Commander-in-Chief of the Lao
People's Army and former President of Lao PDR now retired in South of
Laos.

2. General Sisavath Keobounphan, former Chief-of-Staff of the Lao
People's Army and former Prime Minister of Lao PDR.

Both men are still respected, healthy and strong.

Laos was a small country and have never had 4 Star Generals.  The late
Ouane Rathikoune and Bounpone Maktheparath (Supreme Commander of the
Royal Lao Army) were 3 Star Generals.
