MTMT, Tony, and others,
Thank you for your question and interest. This Pahawh version has 26
vowels, 20 consonants, and 4 diacritics (letter markers), excluding
general punctuation marks and signs. The English keyboard has 26
letter keys. Pahawh needs 50 keys. Tony is right. A number of
consonants, vowels, and diacritics are assigned to the shift keys.
The first letter of new sentence has tendency shifting to the letter
in English upper case. I am not a computer geek, but I am sure many
people out there can easily fix this problem. Actually, it is not as
bad as MTMT understood. No alt key is used. Convenience is a part of
this revising. The bigger picture is integrity. This system is able
to preserve all the sounds for every dialect and enable us to
understand and speak other dialects once we master standard writing
skill.
Any existing Pahawh font would do for the job. All we need is moving
cimtub and cimtaum above cimkes at the level of cim so.
I urge everyone not to jump to conclusion before test it.
Vimhlub,
I like to be respected as who I am. I am a trained anthropologist and
linguist, not yet qualified credential, but working as a farmer.
Please stop speculating Dr. as my title. My name is sufficient. (I
am not mad at you. Poor choice of words is my nature.)
Yaj Tshaj Koob,
I believe this is what you have been looking for.
