Thanks in advance for any contributor in this topic.

Leaders have goals and visions towards concrete and measurable
results.  Vang Pao wants Laos to be Hmong's homeland.

There is no emerging Hmong leaders to replace Vang Pao because there
are no issues that can unite Hmong as a nation.  Socio-economic and
cultural issues are handled by skilled and competent local Hmong and
non-Hmong professionals who work for non-profit organizations. Since
the 70's, Hmong have migrated to many parts of the world as legal
refugees with opportunities for citizenship.  With time, Hmong in
their relative country will/should take part in that country's
political system.  Hmong who are fortunate enough to win elected
offices will gain power.  These individuals can serve as critical
guardians on Hmong's well-being around the globe, individually or
collectively in joint effort with other Hmong from other parts of the
world, since the world is becoming more connected through modern
technologies.  A great example is the grave desecration in Thailand
and the involvement of individuals like Minnesota State Senator Mee
Moua and State Representative Cy Thao.  Hmong school principals from
the US is having an impact on Hmong education in Thailand and Laos.
Hmong individual like Lee Pao Xiong is enhancing Hmong connections to
our brothers and sisters in China.  These are the natural and healthy
paths toward Hmong greatness--people without a country.  We should
focus on finding ways to connect with Hmong in Laos, Burma, Thailand,
Vietnam and China to bring young educated Hmong from these parts of
the world to the US for further educational opportunities and growth.
Our goal should be to foster Hmong in ways that in whatever country
Hmong live, for them to be able to freely take part and gain equal
opportunities in all that are available.  If this happen, our Hmong
name will sustain with time.

My two cents........
