Re: There are something that just can't be corrected....

to all....

i guess...to "correctly" say them...one would have to "latinize (in
this case...monganize)" the word....just as "jesus, yexus, jesus (in
spanish) etc.." or "matthew for masthais" and "john for
yaushaas"...etc...AND THEN GO FROM THERE.

i'm not sure if sifu is a mong word or a chinese word...but there are
many version of it...such as sifu, shifu, etc... but..in order to keep
the "essence" of such a word, we just have to "Hmonganize" the word
(and i believe this was how sifu was developed whether from chinese to
hmong or from hmong to chinese...and the example would be jesus-
yexus)....i heard people use 'txiv plig"....but this word doesn't seem
to fit anything related to christianity...if any converter wants to
keep the essense of a name, word, title, etc from the bible, it would
be beneficial to "hmonganize them" to keep the meaning ...and not
"translate" them to get a new meaning which is in conflict with the
existing meaning...for when one translate, the "meaning" usually gets
lost...

keep in mind, no matter what tony or any other converters are
saying....a "pastor" implies teacher at "church"...and a "sifu"
implies teacher that has nothing to do with church...to say that sifu
equals pastor is to say that kws qeej equals pastor, which is not
true...
