Thanks for your post. I knew that VP was coming to MN for the Hmong
New Year Celebration, but this was a big surprise to a number of
people, those who thought VP was under some kind of "house arrest",
while awaiting his Court hearings. Would/could the US put VP aside
against the Hmong American community for their new interests in
Southeast Asia?

You wrote DYD was the intellectual and VP the general. This made me
wonder when we would see a Hmong having both qualifications, so that
the Hmong would have to listen to only one voice.

Together at the Hmong New Year celebration, VP and DYD must not feel
very comfortable. The MN Lao Family's president, Mr. Nkaj Huas Yang,
must have thought that he could reconcile both men. Let's wait and
see the next chapter of a "marriage for convenience" between the two,
instead of a passionate affair that they once had for one another, as
we have learned of their past when VP had an absolute power in Long
Cheng, and DYD was the first Hmong PhD from France.
