Thanks for the advice. My dad had investments in mutual funds for
over 10 years now, so I had the chance to scan over some of their
annual reports. After several years, I sort of came out with my idea
of investing in stocks that could be better than mutual funds. During
the 2000 and crash of the dot.com companies, my dad lost a lot of
money in mutual funds (I think over +200,000), which got me frustrated
and distrust of the MFs when "supposedly" they guarantee a return of
%5/ 5 year contract. However, if you know something about MFs, this
%5 return is just about the same about MFs charged for a load and no-
load fee maintanence for over the 5 year span. Luckily, now my dad is
investing no or one MF only.
I think you might be careful with MFs. Their fees are too much in
comparison to their return gains.
