I am not joking .... many of you talk about academic performance ... But
before that, there is this issue of behavior that trouble me a lot when I
compare my students in French with the students in Hmong, I have certain
questions ... is that related to wars effect, to socialization of the child
.... to deep trauma ... .

Tsis muaj academic skills, very aggressive, no verbal skills, no family
support, no good role model, no money, with mental issues ...

WHy why ????

I started reading your paper since I'm quite interested in Hmoob qhua
neeb and their religion. I have not done as an extensive research as
you have done, however, just on my knowledge of religion, I found that
there seemed to be some missing info in your conclusion.

If I'm correct about BUDDHISM (not Chinese Buddhism, but the TEACHINGS
OF BUDDHISM), Buddha preached disallowance of WOMEN standing over the
men teaching and preaching Buddhism. If I remember correctly from my
reading of his teachings, Buddha ALLOWS women to be ascetic monks, but
NOT TO LEAD THE SANGHA.

Therefore, I found your paper's conclusion faulty to acknowledge that
GAOYIIN has a Buddhist root. According to the history of Gaoyin,
Gaoyin is referred to as a "goddess" and a "woman." Her history
background will conflict with the teaching of Buddhism. However, then
again, I will acknowledge that Chinese Buddhism is the borrowing of
Buddha's teachings as well.
