Re: Hmong adopting more and more weird names?

I was trying to point out whether there was offical pressure from the
LPDR to make them more Lao since almost all of the Lao Hmong officials
changed their first and last names. I could understand if a couple of
them changed their names but almost all of the appointed and elected
Hmong Lao officials have changed names.

Many of the reasons stated by many of you would make sense or fit if
only a few of them have done so, but almost all of them have change.
Maybe their was an order by the LPDR to make them more Lao and less
Hmong. Just a theory.
