Visiting Tuaj Cua district, Dien Bien Phu province, North West Vietnam,
where one of the long term Hmong resident populations live. In the Sung
Un village, Muong Ba commune, this Hmong lady, Xiong Mim is already 106
years old in this year 2006.
Although she's a little hard of hearing, Xiong Mim is still talking
fluently and walking briskly. 106-years-old, Xiong Mim's simple
recipe for longevity is doing housework everyday, and always being
happy with her children and grand-children in her multi-generation
family.
Many generations living together in harmony at the same home has been a
beautiful tradition of not only our Hmong people but also other Asians.
