Update on 29 Hmong children

The UNHCR, US Embassy and other NGOs are working on a mechanism to
bring the the children back together with their parents. HIHRW spoke
with the UNHCR's Regional Representatives in Bangkok on January
26,2006. According to the UNHCR Regional officer, a diplomatic
communique among the US Ambassador, French Ambassador and all other
Government agencies "are getting involved- it is getting very hard,
politically". This issue has gained the momentum and becomes the
hardest human rights issue in the region.

Something will happen soon, because everyone is forcusse on it right
now.
