denounced and rejected.
I don't think that Inouye said that. He hasn't been in
office so long to say such a thing, or be so stupid.
And if he did, then I'm sure that Inouye would have
apologised to Obama himself.
Obama has had the advantage of a good education-- which
is not to say the Punahou is elitist, or that Obama is
rich. Since he is basically as smart guy to begin with,
it's not unexpected that he has been succesful in life.
Many Punahou grads are like this-- and I should
apologize if my choice of words makes them seem
elitist. I think that Inouye was trying to complement
Obama, but reminding us that life experience is also
important. Inouye himself is the embodiment of that.
