it would be good to have the whole email including headers and maybe
to know who sent it (which is of course in the headers) Are you

Alvin forwarded me the whole email and I sent him my reply.
As I had expected, there was a forwarder in there who is
well known as a local activist of the CAVE (citizens against
virtually everything) sort.

coffee is self fertile but also can be aided by bees. I hate the idea
of no bees. Hope the powers that be, figure it out PDQ.

Knew that about the coffee, and I also hate the idea of no bees, but I
think to use it as an argument to shoot down the Superferry
(intentionally capitalized, it's its name) is a bit over the top. How
did the varroa mite get there in the first place?
There were no mud crusted trucks on ferries that got it there. And the
coqui frog, and the little fire ant, and the stinging nettle
caterpillar, crab spiders, giant snails, etc, don't want to even start
talking about weed plants.

Adopting a CAVE attitude isn't going to solve the problem(s). Blaming
the DLNR for not removing wild hives isn't going to solve the problem.
It's time we stand up and at least try to get some protection for our
own agriculture, not just always cave in to whoever doesn't want to
import what we have here, but also not import what they have there.
The same CAVE people who try to shoot everything down probably eat as
much imported food as the rest of us, but at the same time label
almost all food plants (coffee among them) as non-native invasive.

Trying to have it both ways? A lot of people do.

Think about it.
