I agree totally with Jerry. Any sort of Legislation
is written by Legislators and having them try to make
the playing field level, will never work.It doesn't
matter one iota whether Democrat or Republican. Money
will always rule! Righteousness of a cause never
matters. Deep pockets rule always.

At the state level, IIRC Arizona and some small state
in the NE, and Oregon have had this for years. And it
works very well. What we don't have in this state is
the public support for this to the level that
politicians will feel that there is strong public
demand for it.

Otherwise, why would they want to make life harder for
themselves by enabling a lot of political competition?
Even among Republicans, they view this more as
threatening to their own incumbancy than an improvement
in public elections, and an opportunity to increase
their party's presence in elected office.
