Re: Fundamentalism in America

Ah, I see what you are objecting to now. So you are out to disprove that view. But did I ever claim that Turkish, or rather Turkic, is the mother of all languages? But it certainly seems to be quite an old language. Much older that you care to admit.

I don't care how old it is.

From what evidence I have come across its roots go back some 8,000 years which of course I know you would love to "disprove" just to satisfy your Greek ego. But in order to do that you must present us with some solid evidence.

If mountains and hills on the American continent were named tepe's which in modern Turkish means 'hill' and if as we now know that Red Indians crossed into America from Siberia and the Altai regions of Asia (ever heard of Altaic Languages?) some 15,000 years ago, to me this indicates some common origin that goes back that far. Coincidence? Could be but I gather that there are other common words.
Teepee is the tent Red Indians were living.

Not only that I gather that according to some philologists there are common words between Turkic languages and ancient Sumerian. What do you make of that?
" Mama " is used in many languages for mother.
Common ancestry?
Thelou-me
Thele-te
Thelou-ne
In Finish:
Halua-me
Haluat-te
Halua-ne
Common ancestry?

But the question is= ARE you prepared to open your mind and perhaps come to accept that the history of Turkic languages goes much further back in history than you are prepared to admit.

I have only problems with attaturks fascist vision that everything has a Turkic origin.

As to how much connection there is between Turkic and Finnish, I don't know. Perhaps Finnish belongs to another language group and then perhaps there is some sort of link. We know that the matter is disputed among experts. So until further proof is unearthed we cannot be certain either way.

Personally I do not dispute findings of experts who delve into the history of ancient Greeks. Why should I? I accept information as such and do not accept or reject in based on nationalistic preferences or prejudices.

The question you have to ask yourself is= Are you mature enough to accept that view?
Why don't you ask your fellow Attaturk brainwashed Turks?
