U.S. Default NOT the Real Crisis - Cuts in Time of Growing Needs the Real Disaster (& the constitution)

While media and politicians have been emphasizing the potential
default as the crisis, it really is not and that is very misleading to
all concerned. The cuts that are likely to be made will have far more
negative impact, and are the real crisis. Far more crisis than default
as such. Default being a short term condition, but cuts being long
term in their effects. Worse yet, cuts, mean lack of new programs at a
time when those are badly needed. That is an even worse crisis. A
crisis that would have immeasurable impact on recovery, progress, in
fact the entire future of America and the effectiveness of its leading
example in the free world. I do not want to belittle the default in
saying this, but it has taken excessive precedence, masking the real
crisis, which is the drastic shrinking of the budget in a time of
increasing need. It could become severe enough, if cuts are as deep as
some propose, that some states would be pushed over the brink, and
many more people would suffer the deep and lasting consequences.
Of course, as I have posted previously, both not paying the debt and
not funding programs that can be demonstrated to be necessary for the
"general welfare" of the people of the United States are
unconstitutional acts. We quickly realize that the United States has,
at its very founding, what today we would consider to be a "socialist"
constitution. A constitution that many of America's leading
politicians are worse than reluctant to live up to. in fact they are
vehemently opposed to the constitution itself, in their political
practice, while giving it mere lip service. I see a very big crisis on
the political horizon, far beyond simply the potential default and the
deep problems of the budget. While such behavior was at least
acceptable during "good times" as times have changed, for many, that
same behavior becomes increasingly reprehensible. Meanwhile those same
politicians are backing themselves up against a wall, and pushing
harder, not easing the pressure, as to being able to effectively act,
in any crisis, simply by the fact that the laws that may be passed
approving drastic cuts, deficit reduction laws dictating large
reductions in the deficit, will effectively cripple the United States
freedom to act even within its strongest spheres of influence. It will
simply not be able to, whether in defense, economic policy, social
programs, economic stimulus. It will be a powerless cripple, crippled
by its own unconstitutional laws. At least that is the political
danger, and why China is mocking the USA. Communist China does not
believe that United States politicians can find a way out of backing
themselves into that hopeless corner and pushing themselves even
harder in the same direction of being cornered, once they get there.
