;-)Hi
I'd like to know what sorts of food are popular in Germany. Are traditional (by which I guess I mean things like sauerkraut and lots or potatoes and pork) German foods still the most popular foods? What, if any, ethnic foods are popular?
Funny question.
I am german and I don´t like Sauerkraut and tons of potatoes, btw I am a vegetarian :-)
There is no typical food for Germany. In some areas exist some special food, like "Westfälischer Sauerbraten".
I think, germans cook and eat everything they like. ;-)
The above questions are meant for foods cooks in the home, but I'd also like to know what types of restaurants are popular. Say, in a medium sized (100,000 people), university town in an average German state...
say Baden Wuttenberg (sp?).
Italian, chinese, greek, Argentina (steaks), turkish...
Thanks.
