Montesquieu

Hello,
I am doing a report of Montesquieu the famous French writer and
philosophe. One section on this report requires me to find either one
friend or foe of Montesquieu. I cannot find any source that describes
his friends/foes. If someone could please tell me a friend/foe of
Montesquieu and describe why they are friends/foes.
