So whats your point ?
Do you propose that a major battle be accurately re-created in the Ardennes
itself ?
Obviously, any mainstream Hollywood movie for the masses attempting to
cover any major battle or series of battles is going to have its fair share
of "glaring historical inaccuracies".
Bridge over River Kwai, for instance, was even worse in that regards.
More recently, "We Were Soldiers", a film based on a book of the same name
written by the man that commanded during Americas first major battle in
Vietnam, was also highly innacurate.
There may be exceptions. I think "Tora,Tora,Tora" is regarded as being
fairly accurate.
