Wherever did you get this ridiculous notion from? Of course some believe
that but then some believe the moon landings never happened and that the
Earth is flat.

It most certainly is not. The USA was 100% wrong over Iraq and France
100% right. The USA lied constantly and deliberatley about WMDs and
other things. The rednecks have all crawled out of their trailers to
come here showing their astounding ignorance because that fact sticks in
their craw and they hope that they have found a pretext to get their own
back. They are wasting their time.

They'd be the same ones who think the Earth is flat then.

It most certainly isn't that, though the danger is there that certain
groups will hide behind these riots and use them to further their ends.
Nor will jobs on their own help, but it will already do a good bit. The
problem is also the attitude of too many French people who are pretty
racist round the gills, though they get upset when you tell them so, and
the attitude of many of the kids themselves. They flunked school, no one
made them flunk it so their whines fall on deaf ears.

The causes are many, lack of hope and jobs as you say, racism on the
part of the French and general lack of civism on the part of the kids
involved who think that they are entitled to attack public and private
buildings and services and other people because they are hard done by. I
don't just mean during these riots, stones being thrown at police cars,
firemen and buses are not infrequent in some areas which hardly gives
people a good impression. Of course this is a tiny minority but they do
damage to all their fellows and it is up to their fellows to put an end
to it (as some try it must be said).
