It appears the usual suspects have already lined up to protest while
the masses YAWN...
that's the real issue- the masses see no point in all of this- even
Granny Aquino can't rev them up anymore Perry Diaz has a wonderful
piece on this...




Sadly presidents
of many persuasions seem to stick to their positions like sh.t to a
blanket. Eventually the people feel that there is nothing left to do
but take matters into their own hands.

Actually the people see that what's in the pipeline is more of the
same so they'll just wait for the rain to wash the turd away- knowing
that another will soon follow. Hell even the so-called Popular Lt Gen
couldn't attact support when he asked his peers to withdraw support...

I believe the bigger problem in PI is not that corruption is rampant but
that we no longer have any good leadership material available.

Maybe so, but there is also the saying something along the lines You
can only be a good leader if others want to be lead! IMHO there are
too many greedy fatcats in high positions quite happy with the status
quo.

The problem is that there's no way a"good" politico can get elected
most of the former GMA poloiticos who've turned on her admit they've
spent their careers (read decades) cheating in elections in order to
help "the right people" win. The so-called People Power sham was just
more of the same- the very people leading the protests are as bad if
not worse- and the masses are too preoccupied with daily life to
really give a sh-t... for them this is all just good entertainment.
It's the expats that take this so serious... so how do you get the
masses to care???
