The Philippine peso is strong and infrastructure projects are a-plenty. In
my book that's an indication of a strong economy.

The popular complaint is that the strong economy does not trickle down to
purchasing power of the masses. Well if you are a sampaguita vendor,
unemployed or retired, there's little chance your purchasing power will go
up anytime soon.
