You forgot to mention the Spanish era, invasion, centuries of
indoctrination and colonization. Was that a bed of roses for the
Filipino people? Tsk tsk! My my you are forgetful! I'm no Yank lover
either, but do not let us get blinkered by selectively "forgetting"
historical facts.

For goodness sake!! Stop dwelling in the past and do something
constructive. What were the alternatives? Continuation of Spanish rule
or domination by the Japanese?

I don't see too much evidence that the rule of the US in the early
part of last century has much to do with the current ills of Pinas.
Filipinos themselves seem to be doing a good job of displaying
monumental incompetence in government, self aggrandizement, rife
corruption, stealing of State assets, disgusting inefficiency in state
administered departments ect ect without any outside assistance at
all.

Much (not all) of the sickening nonsense seen in Pinoy politics, has
very little if anything to do with international influence.

You can't change what occurred in the 1900's, continued bleating about
the unchangeable, saps energy from doing something worthwhile.

I'm not knocking Pinas per say, mealy indicating that continual
discussion of what we already know and that occurred over 100 years
ago achieves nothing except encourage negativity! Should we not use
that energy to improve the future.

Bob.

well if certain people want goodwill then you dont go about it  doing
stuff like closing a hospital found in other nations as if its your
own right? when you do this  people tend to dig up old bones and old
slights .

In many cases, military and police are better off not saying anything
and just taking the jabs from the press and people like you who only see
the surface of things.  That's usually true when something bigger and of
more importance is going on or about to go on.  In other cases, military
victories are published (by the military) as loses, also for the same
reason.  Your deekshonari word for today is "DISINFORMATION."- Hide quoted text -

i repeat you dont have to apologize if it didnt happen.

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines -- US soldiers in Sulu have APOLOGIZED
for ordering health officials to shut down the government-run
hospital
in Panamao town during night time, Sulu Governor Abdusakur Tan said
Monday.

its not disinformation[ filipino citizens and filipino doctors
working in that said hospital reported this] as is their job as a
filipino citizen and as a doctor . its crappy public relations on
the us military side. that us officer involved. should be banished
to alaska or sent to pasture for giving the us a black eye. he has no
common sense. you dont do that willynilly like you own the
philippines .
