Around 6 weeks ago, Joseph Estrada was given a verdict for plunder
which in the Philippine constitution is punishable by hanging. Today,
he is granted clemency or pardon, in other words, he is set FREE. So
what was he being detained for all these years in his comfortable huge
resthouse in Tanay? I guess money talks very loudly. Here goes another
political figure buying his way to freedom and a govt. that grants
freedom as long as the price is right even if the conviction is murder
and in this case, stealing the people's money and illegal activity for
monetary gain by the person who has the highest seat in the land at
one time. What a joke!


What proof do you have of a "bribe"??? The mere fact that thieves charged a
fellow thief???

Here's a comparison... there's an overflowing prisoners in jail in
Phil who's been jailed for stealing petty things worth a couple of
hundred pesos and are still rotting in prisons 'cause they don't have
the cash or influence to bail themselves out. Estrada is now free and
I believe Estrada amounted billions in illegal wealth by using his
position and messing w/ people's social security and cocoa funds etc
including other things like Jueteng, taxes etc.


And he contributes far more to society than those petty criminals!


Good thing we have Manny Pacquiao because our country's leaders and
system is horrible.
Err eh??? What in the name of God does that do for the poor?
