Dear Ms. Pelosi,

This petition is to plead your assistance with the following matter which has been "talked about" for a good while now, but no one has taken concrete action with regards taking this matter to the proper authorities.

"Approval of Medicare USA for US Citizen Retirees to the Philippines"

A considerable number of such retirees who are at present entitled to Medicare USA would like to return to the Philippines where care and living expenses are much more reasonable. However, the present regulations governing Medicare USA will not allow the continuance of the Medicare privilege if the entitled retiree were to live outside the USA.

Because of the higher rate of the USA dollar vis-a-vis the Peso in the Philippines, it would be of great financial benefit for Medicare USA if this petition was approved since it would cost much less for Medicare to care for those who are entitled and living in the Philippines.

It is therefore with this"win-win" situation on both sides that we present this petition for your consideration; hoping you will look into this matter which is of great importance and concern to U.S. Citizen Retirees mostly from the Philippines.
