Oooops!! Of course, it's March, not February. The next weekend. Sorry, my

Please check the website for a more accurate schedule!

Hmmm...

As I read http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2007/12feb_lunareclipse.htm,
the lunar eclipse is to happen 3-4 March 2007 and will be visible in
the Philippines as a red glow on the moon at moonset.

As I read a table for 2007 produced by
http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/RS_OneYear.html
(for 12N, 122E, GMT+8), Moonset on Boracay will occur on 3 Mar at
1408, on 4 Mar at 1443, and near those times elsewhere in the
philippines.

I'm guessing that there will be too much daylight in the Philippines
for the eclipse to be visible here.

For SanFran and environs at E122 26, N37 46, GMT-8, it looks like the
eclipse happens around moonrise at 1708 on 3 Mar and 1807 on 4 Mar.
That's near sunset time, so the eclpse effects should be visible on
the moon rising in the east as the sun sets in the west, presuming a
location to view moonrise can be found, or presuming that the effects
last long enough for the moon to rise high enough to be seen over
terrain & buildings to the east.

Unless I screwed something up there.

No, you are correct - this lunar eclipse can be observed in the Philippines
and in the USA, but that doesn't mean that these areas will enjoy the
perfect lunar light show. This time Europe and Africa are in the center of
the action. Sorry! :-)
